Our clippers

The Passaat
The imposing Passaat is a slender, black and white clipper with a beautiful sheer, which makes her a fast sailor.
The two-master features many different sails. In addition to the basic rig, there are plenty of supplementary sails. Are you an experienced sailor? Then you must be interested in operating the sails:
- Mainsail: electric winch or by hand
- Jib: hoisting by hand
- Jib: hoisting by hand, 2 lap winches
- Mizzen: hoisting by hand
- Swords: electric winch

Accommodation
The Passaat is comfortably furnished and offers plenty of space for all passengers. The saloon is brightly decorated and headroom inside is 2.20 m everywhere. The interior of the saloon consists of 4 tables with sofas and chairs.
Furthermore, the ship features :
- TV with internet connection and wifi
- Music system with USB connection
- Nautical charts of the Wadden Sea and IJsselmeer.
- Walking and cycling maps of all Wadden Islands
Galley
The galley of the Passaat is an open kitchen giving you a good view of the spacious salon. The galley is equipped with the following:
- Gas stove with 6 burners
- Oven
- Coffee maker (2 liter) incl. filters
- Refrigerator 425 liters
- Glass door refrigerator 88 liters
- Freezer 50 liters
- Beer tap (1 barrel of 20-liter Grolsch beer costs €82)

Cabins
The Passaat has 6 double and 4 quadruple cabins. In total, there is room for 28 people.
The Passaat’s comfortable cabins include:
- Beds size 2 m x 0.75 m all equipped with fitted sheet, pillow with pillowcase and comforter with cover
- Bedside lamp
- Sink with hot and cold running water, mirror, lamp and cabinet
- Storage
- Clothes hooks
- Porthole
- Central Heating
On request, a step to the upper bed can be placed. It is also possible to add an extra bed in cabin 1 and 2 on request.
Plumbing
In the center of the sailing ship is the sanitary area. Sanitary facilities include:
- 2 showers with mirror and wall hooks
- 3 toilets with sink and mirror

Seat bowl
Above deck, the cockpit provides a safe, sheltered place while sailing. It features:
- Cockpit cushions
- Rain or sun tent








The Aldebaran
In 1893, the 36-meter-long sailing ship was built as a two-masted river clipper. The traditional appearance of the sailing ship has been preserved, the ship has a beautiful sheer and a slender underwater hull. The Aldebaran is a fast sailor.
The sails of the Aldebaran are easily controlled by halyards, sheets and winches. Only the mizzen sail and headsails are hoisted with halyards. The other sails are hoisted with two winches. The Aldebaran has a total of 5 sails, of which 4 are basic rigging :
- Large jib
- Fok
- Mainsail
- Mizzen sail
- Staysail sail/ Large halfwinder
The base rig of the Aldebaran totals 445 square meters.


Accommodation
The former ship’s hold of the Aldebaran has been converted and equipped with a cozy comfortable interior. In the salon you can sit and relax after a long day of sailing on the waters of the Wadden Sea. The spacious salon can accommodate many passengers and a lot of conviviality, you can eat together, play games and more.
Galley
The spacious galley is equipped with:
- underfloor heating
- 6-burner catering gas stove with oven
- 3 sinks
- refrigerator 420 liters

- dinnerware for 50 people

Cabins & Plumbing
The Aldebaran has 3 double cabins and 6 four-person cabins. All four-person cabins have private bathrooms. Two of the double cabins share one bathroom. One double cabin has its own toilet and sink. The cabins with private bathrooms are equipped with shower, toilet and sink. There is one double cabin with a small bathroom, equipped with sink and toilet.
All cabins have underfloor heating and each cabin has at least two electrical outlets. Beds come standard with fitted sheet, pillow and pillowcase. For weekend trips, quilts are provided as standard.
Seat bowl
Above deck is a comfortable seating area, with fine sofas. But during (group) sailing trips, the rest of the deck can also be used as a sun deck. This is because the deck is very easy to walk on, with no high steps or protruding parts. There is more than enough room on board! Cockpit cushions and a sun or rain tent over the entire cockpit are available.
